200th FDNY member dies of WTC-related illness

FDNY Firefighter Richard Driscoll is the 200th FDNY member to die of World Trade Center illness, the department announced. He retired from Engine 91 in East Harlem in 2002. Driscoll responded to the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and worked tirelessly in the rescue and recovery efforts that followed. More.

Retired FDNY Commissioner Featured as Special Guest Reader

Salvatore “Sal” Cassano, retired fire commissioner of the New York City Fire Department, will return to the World Trade Center site on Saturday June 20, 2015 as a special guest for the 9/11 Memorial Museum’s Stories & Art program. A woman who became known as the "Dust Lady" after being captured on camera in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on New York City has died after a battle with cancer, her brother confirmed to NBC News. Greenwich 911 memorial should be open by end of next week

Thousands of flags placed in Somerset County to honor victims of 9/11

The Somerset Chamber of Commerce and Somerset Inc. are paying tribute to the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, with a second annual flag installment event. It's being held at the Pennsylvania Turnpike exit to act as a gateway to Somerset County and the Flight 93 Memorial.
