VOICES is hosting its 21st Annual Remembrance Symposium in partnership with the Leadership in Counter Terrorism Alumni Association and the International Network Supporting Victims of Terrorism and Mass Violence.

For 21 years, VOICES has hosted our Annual Remembrance Symposium on September 9 and 10. Today we would like to highlight the September 10 program, entitled Support Beyond the 20th Anniversary, that will be held on the eve of the 9/11 Anniversary.

August is a busy time as we prepare for VOICES 21st Annual Remembrance Symposium this September 9 and 10 in New York City. We are very excited about our partnership with LinCT-AA and INVICTM, and the distinguished speakers who are participating in this year’s event.

Writing for as little as 10-15 minutes a day for 3-4 days about an upsetting experience can improve physical health, sleep, and reduce stress. Join us on Thursday, August 25 at 7:00pm for an interactive presentation with Jamie Pennebaker, a leading researcher focused on the relationship between expressive writing and physical/mental health.

On Monday, August 1, 2022, President Joe Biden announced that al-Qaeda leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Kabul, Afghanistan. The President said he hoped the operation delivered “one more measure of closure” to families of the victims of September 11, 2001.
