Voices of September 11th will host several events to commemorate the 11th Anniversary. More than 300 of our members helped us plan the events by responding to our survey. Their suggestions guided our staff in creating programs that are designed to be informative, commemorative, and provide an opportunity for the 9/11 community to come together for the 11th Anniversary. On Saturday, September 8th from 1pm - 4pm the Brooke Jackman Foundation will hold its annual read-a-thon from 12:00pm - 1:30pm at the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center. For the third year, the Brooke Jackman Foundation celebrates the positive and transformative power of literacy with its annual Read-A-Thon where an array of guest readers bring words to life inspiring children, their families, and the community gathered for an afternoon of books and bonding.
Join the 10th anniversary of "WALK WITH JOE", a memorial 5K walk honoring Patrick "Joe" Driscoll, Christopher Gray and Tom McCann, local area residents who lost their lives on September 11th. The walk will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Manalapan, NJ.
