Text on the memorial: As our Nation reacted to the events of September 11, 2001, many personal tributes honoring the heroes in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. were spontaneously placed at the feet of Lady Liberty here at New York-New York Hotel & Casino. This area now serves as a Tribute to provide people from all over the world an opportunity to reflect on this moment in history that brought our Nation and the world together to honor so many heroes.

The memorial is a large granite structure by the Statue of Liberty, and contains t-shirts (with notes, fire station insignias, police station insignias, etc.) and other items of a personal nature.
