The memorial is a 9-foot, 11-inch-tall monument with names of the victims and etchings of their faces. It is surrounded by a circle of benches. This 9/11 Memorial also includes a piece of steel recovered from Ground Zero. Joseph Uras Monuments designed and created the monument. The Hazlet 9/11 Memorial was dedicated in September 2003.

Reason site was selected: It is our largest park and location of our newly dedicated 9-11 memorial monument and Veteran's Memorial Gardens. Events planned for site: Services commemoration the anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11/01, Veteran's day, and Memorial Day.
