Text on the memorial: Plaque inscription on the firefighter statue: "Dedicated to the fire department of the city of New York and the 343 firefighters who made the supreme sacrifice September 11th 2001 To the survivors and victims of the terrorist attacks The happenings of that fateful September morning touched each of us. We will never forget the dedication displayed, the sacrifices made and the innocence lost on that day. The people may be gone, the day may be gone, but the memories of both will forever be remembered here. God Bless America" Inscription on plaque next to steel from towers: "Once a part of the World Trade Center, this twisted piece of steel rests here as an enduring memorial to the 343 New York City Firefighters who perished in their desperate attempt to save lives on September 11, 2001. This memorial is located on the historic Boardwalk of Ocean City MD. There is a statue of a firefighter and a piece of twisted steel from the world trace center.
