About:

The University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 900 Wood Road, will dedicate a living memorial to the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11 attacks during an on-campus ceremony at noon outside Molinaro Hall. The university will dedicate a sugar maple tree on its Anna Maria Williams Nature Trail to the memory of those who died in New York City, Washington and rural Pennsylvania. The ceremony is open to the public. Students raised money for the tree and a commemorative plaque, as well as sending more than $1,000 to New York City to aid relief efforts there. An exhibit of art dealing with the events of Sept. 11 will be on display in Wyllie Hall. The works were created by students in Alan Goldsmith's graphic design class immediately after the attacks. The UW-Parkside Center for International Studies has created a Web page dedicated to thoughtful comments and discussion of Sept. 11 events and their aftermath
