Peace be upon your soul our martyr and hero,

My name is Husam. I’m a fellow Yemeni-American, who so happened to become friends with your amazing son Fares, of whom I am sure you would be very proud, a few years before learning of your story. Your friends made a beautiful short film celebrating your heroic sacrifice, and they named it “Abdu.” Every year, I share your story with hundreds and thousands.

May your soul rest in Firdaws
