I don’t know Captain Brethel, but the heroism and strength he and his fellow members of the FDNY displayed that day is only found in a special type of person. Truly, not everyone has that sort of bravery and selflessness within themselves.

Captain Brethel, his family, and all others impacted that day remain in our thoughts. You will never be forgotten, Captain Brethel.
