I met Ed twice - once before his accident and once immediately following his accident. I was the college girlfriend of one of his two best friends, Dennis O'Neil of Bath, NY. I remember "Big Ed" prior to his accident as funny and fun to be around. I remember him immediately following his accident, when everything was extremely uncertain, as a fighter and a positive spirit. Rest in peace Ed.
