Querido hermano dominicano,

Espero que estés descansando en paz. Que Dios bendiga tu alma y a toda su familia después de este horrible tragedia. Aunque han pasado tantos años, su gente nunca te ha olvidado.

Quizás nunca tuve la oportunidad de conocerte, pero como dominicano, siento que eras parte de mi familia. Porque así somos nosotros. Un dominicano nunca deja de sentir a otro dominicano como de los suyos, no importa dónde haya nacido, dónde haya vivido o cuántos años hayan pasado.

Tu pais te recuerda con amor y con orgullo. Quisqueya te lleva en el corazón y siempre habrá un pedacito de nuestra tierra contigo. Desde nuestra isla hasta todos los rincones del mundo donde vive un dominicano, tu nombre y tu memoria siguen siendo parte de nosotros.

Que Dios te tenga en su gloria y que les dé mucha fortaleza a tus seres queridos. Nunca serás olvidado. Tus hermanos y hermanas dominicanos te queremos, te recordamos y te llevamos en el corazón.

I might have never had the opportunity to met you, but as a Dominican, I feel like you were part of my family. Because we are like that. A Dominican never stops feeling another Dominican is one of their own, doesn't matter wherever they were born, where they have lived or how many years have passed. 

Your country remembers you with love and pride. Quisqueya carries you in our hearts, and a piece of our homeland will always be with you. From our island to every corner of the world where a Dominican lives, your name and your memory remain a part of us.

May God hold you in His glory and grant great strength to your loved ones. You will never be forgotten. Your Dominican brothers and sisters love you, remember you, and hold you close in our hearts.
