To the family and friends of George E. Spencer III,

On this 14th anniversary of 9/11 I wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I never met George, however, he came into my life at the WTC Memorial this past spring on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2015. I was in NYC on holiday and decided to visit the WTC Memorial for the first time. It was a beautiful sunny cool spring day. As I stood looking over the cascading waterfall, rays of light bounced off the falling water. It was a very positive energy. Not knowing any of the souls who lost their lives on 9/11 I decided to let my finger be drawn to a name on the black granite and the name that my finger was drawn to was that of George s. I wrote down his name on a small piece of paper after saying a prayer for him. And now, on 9/11/15, coming home to Milwaukee from work in Chicago, I went into my study to look out the window at the view of Lake Michigan and my hand went over to a ceramic bowl, and I picked up a small piece of paper and on it was George's name that I wrote down at the WTC site. So, I decided to learn a little about George by googling his name and I came across his photo next to a sail boat etc. I also read his obituary from the 9/20/01 NY Times. Lastly I came across across this nice story about him from the 9/17/01 Times with a tribute next to his name "CHASE DREAMS, He Taught". You all have very precious memories of him, which I hope soften the memories of the day you lost him. May he RIP.
