Biography:

"Larry Cummings, 74, was born in Brooklyn and was brought to Staten Island as a young child, living in Dongan Hills and Oakwood.

Larry was a 1962 graduate of St. Peter's High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1964 and served in Vietnam.
After leaving the Navy, Larry joined the NYPD in 1969. His various assignments brought him to the 9th Precinct, the 120th Precinct, Staten Island Task Force, Senior Citizen's Robbery Unit, and the 67th Precinct Detective Squad. He retired from the NYPD in 1991.

Larry was always very proud of his family's police background. His father was a NYPD lieutenant, one brother was also an NYPD officer, and two brothers were members of the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington, D.C.

Larry and his wife, Claudia, moved to Florida in 2005."
