Remembering
I was in sixth grade when the towers fell. A few years later at a memorial chapel, everyone received a name of someone who had perished to remember them and pray for those left behind. I received Michael’s name and have been praying for his family and loved ones ever since. Remembering him today. 9/11/21

Full of life
My family lived down the street from Michael. My sisters and I babysat for him and his brother quite often. My brothers taught them to play a lot of sports. We spent lots of happy and memorable times with the boys. Michael was so full of life and a lot of fun. I’ll never forget hearing about how while climbing a tree, he dared his little brother to jump out of the tree and poor Chris did and broke his arm. So Mike felt so bad about it and the pain it caused Chris, that he jumped the same way Chris did so they could go through the pain and have casts together. He it to be there and understand what his little bother was going through. I saw him often when I started dating my husband. He loved my husband car and kept asking for ride in it. We’d often give him a ride to a friend’s house.

Remembering Mike Today
I babysat for Mike and Chris in Garden City. They were so much fun to babysit for; we used to play tag, throw a ball around and laugh. I seem to remember they never wanted to go to bed. This was a long time ago, but I remembered they were some of my favorite kids.
Thinking of the whole Edwards family on this day, and sending love and prayers.
