Michael Joseph Cunningham, age 39, of Princeton Jct., New Jersey, beloved husband of Teresa (Koebbe) Cunningham, and new father of William Laurence Cunningham entered enternal life on September 11, 2001, in New York.
Mr. Cunningham was born December 24, 1961 in Forest Gate, London, England, son of Laurence Edward Cunningham of London, and the late Mrs. Teresa (Anastasia) Cunningham. He was a negotiable securities broker, having moved to the United States twelve years ago while working for Euro Brokers. Michael and Teresa were known among friends for their theme parties. Costumes were always a must. In June the party had a Hawaiian theme, and Mrs. Cunningham wore a grass skirt, even though she was seven months pregnant with their first child.
“He was just the funnest person.” Mrs. Cunningham said about her husband. “You would never forget him if you met him once.” Even though he never lost what she called his ‘heavy east end accent,’ he said he preferred American Football to Soccer, and he rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the Yankees. He also enjoyed Scuba and Sky Diving and was a big fan of West Ham United Football Team. The couple met while working together, and at first Teresa resisted the idea of going out with a co-worker. But he won her over. “He had this fun go for attitude, he made me laugh, plus he was very handsome,” said Teresa. “He used to say to me ‘I’m six feet two eye of blue, Micky C. will come after you,” she added.
In addition to his wife, new born son and father, Michael is survived by three brothers and two sisters, Sean Cunningham, Paul Cunningham, Andre Cunningham, Bernadette Smith and Julie Anne Cunningham, all of London; and several nieces, one nephew and many cousins.

Remember him from school…
Remember him from school days at Campion School. He was the big, tough but kind older student we all admired.
