Queens native Ronald Hoerner lived in Massapequa, Long Island, with his wife, Barbara. He had three stepdaughters and six grandchildren. Ronald had served as a state trooper before joining Summit Security Services. He worked as a resident security manager at the World Trade Center. On September 11, Ronald was seen helping a woman evacuate from the South Tower. He was 58 years old.
