Biography:
Officer Walwyn Stuart was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks while attempting to rescue the victims trapped in the World Trade Center.
Although his body was never recovered from the World Trade Center site, his handcuffs were recovered during the search.
Officer Stuart had served with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department for three years and had previously served with the New York City Police Department for five years.
He is survived by his wife and infant daughter.
