Rest in peace you have that I’ll never forget meeting you at 55 Hampton Pl. when they move the taxation and finance department there you were so friendly and open armed. I was able to come to you about everything when I worked in the summers there you were the only one who remembered me for two years. Thank you again and I miss you greatly.

After the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I saw an Instagram post of someone running a mile for each life lost. I was inspired and so now I am hiking a mile to honor the lives lost on that day, a day to never forget and lives to never forget.

On 11/3/2026, I hiked a mile in honor of Yvette Anderson.

I read that she was months away from earning a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management and that she dreamt of opening her own restaurant. I learned that she was a hard worker and a woman of faith. She sounds like an amazing woman.

God bless Yvette and her loved ones.
