In honor of the men and women of the Cleveland Center and those aboard Flight 93 for their heroic actions on September 11, 2001

A four foot high granite monument at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Cleveland Air Route Traffic Control Center has the words: “In honor of the men and women of the Cleveland Center and those aboard Flight 93 for their heroic actions on September 11, 2001.” The monument is surrounded by a flagpole, flowers and granite benches. The center in Oberlin, Ohio, is about 25 miles west of Cleveland. The Center has monitored Flight 93 when it was hijacked over Ohio. The memorial was dedicated in 2002.
