I am writing this with a heavy heart thinking about you and remembering the day we met in 1991 when my girlfriends and I took our first trip to NYC. We flew into NJ from Palm Springs Calif but got bored so we rented a car and drove to NYC. We met you and your friends at our hotel bar and from that moment I knew we were meant to meet. You offered to show us the city from a Limo but we wanted to go on the subway. You and your friends were kind enough to escort us (I know you just wanted to make sure that we were safe). We ended up spending the entire night together getting to know eachother and stayed together my entire vacation. I will never forget the dinner cruise you took us on my last night in NY. It was magical and I fell in love with you that night. I KNOW you fell in love with me too. But I had to go home and only saw you again when you found me in Las Vegas years later. John I am so sorry that I never gave "us" a chance. I miss you so very much on this day 12 years after your heroic death. I will never forget you...I will never forget what we meant to each other in that very brief time that we had together. God Bless you and all of your loved ones. Until we meet again.
