Biography:

Joe Doyle was born March 28, 1976. Joe was a gifted athlete who joined his first baseball club just barely out of nursery school. He played in the South Shore Little League and Babe Ruth League. He attended St. Joseph-by-the-Sea High School where he starred on the baseball team. He received many awards including Staten Island Advance and Daily News All Star Honors in 1994. Joe attended Wagner College, where he earned a scholarship and graduated with a degree in business administration. He starred as a pitcher at Wagner College, where he ranks on the school's top ten list in five different career categories. Joe stands sixth all-time in strikeouts with 147, third all-time in both innings pitched and appearances, and first all-time in starts and complete games. He was known as "The Bulldog" to his teammates for his tenacity on the pitching mound and his desire to win. On April 6, 2002, the Wagner College Athletics program and the school's Alumni Office honored Joe by retiring his #34. After college, Joe accepted a job offer at Cantor Fitzgerald. He was a government bond supervisor at Cantor for three years before his death. He was known as a dedicated employee who would often handle many tasks and work long hours. People who worked with Joe knew him as a person who would give a person who was having a bad day a good laugh and trying to help out anybody who needed assistance. He was also a member of the Cantor Fitzgerald softball team. Joe's love for sports was not just limited to baseball. Football Sundays were like a holiday in the Doyle house, and his friends would come over and watch the games and eat tons of food. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was known to wear his cheese-head to show support for his team. He also rooted for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Miami Heat. For two years, Joe dominated the Jersey Shore. From the crazy shirts and the insane headgear to the famous "JD's Happy Hour", Joe was known as a GOOD TIME. Whether it was in a bar or on the porch of his house, everybody wanted to party with Joe. Joe had many things he loved in his life: sports, his friends and especially his family. Everyone who has ever met Joe will remember him for his desire to have fun and his kindness. He touched everyone's hearts and the memories he has left us with will last us forever.
