Every memorial I listen to the stories of those whose loved ones made such an impact in their own lives and others. I saw your sister giving a speech about what a joy and light you are/were to your family and friends and how they wanted to celebrate your life, not focus on the tragedy that took it. It really stung my heart hearing the words spoken about you. I stumbled across this page and got to see all the wonderful parts of the life you lived and the wisdom you shared along the way. Your wife, daughters, brothers, sisters, mom and dad and friends looked like they couldn’t get enough of your time 🀍 You obviously were dear to many people. It was comforting to see all the happy moments in your life and just how much love was evident in every photo. It’s been 21 years but this page was such a beautiful dedication to your life, loving family and contribution to the world.

I appreciate how your family honors you and keeps your memory alive. You indeed deserve to celebrated and remembered just like this. Thank you for allowing such peace in my heart from just knowing your story.

My sincerest regards.
Rose P.

In Remembrance
Age:
38
Place of Residence:
Readington, NJ
Location on 9/11:
One WTC
Occupation:
Cantor Fitzgerald | Vice President
Biography:

Timothy J. Hargrave -- known to all as T. J. -- started working at age 6 and didn't stop until Sept. 11. As a child, his work was acting: he was in many television commercials, made regular appearances on "Guiding Light" and starred in a made-for-television movie called "The Prince of Central Park."

As an adult, Mr. Hargrave, 38, worked at Cantor Fitzgerald. But most of his prodigious energies went to those close to him: his wife, Patty; the friends they had made as far back as the Wayne, N.J., high school they both attended; his seven older siblings; his three young daughters; and all the girls on the soccer teams he coached.

"He was passionate about everything, and he was an everlasting friend," his wife said. "Once you were in his life, you stayed there. And he was the most devoted father you can imagine. He'd never played soccer a day in his life, but he wanted the girls to be involved in team sports, so he learned. I tell them, `Some parents have their kids in soccer so they can have some time by themselves, but your father had you in soccer because he wanted to be with you.' "
