Darlene - you are the one who continues to amaze. Thank you for mentioning my small role during the time we were all searching for Jack in the days after 9/11. Your anchor and energy on behalf of your whole family is what I remember. Jack would not I am sure have been surprised. I'll second your final comment that Jack made his mark -- there was no doubt among his work and personal friends.

I am not sure if or when you will see this Darlene, given the expiration of time on this tragic event. But what a wonderful testimony to your brother. After 14 years I am finally going to have an opportunity to make a journey to New York City and in essence pay my respects to both Jack and those that lost their lives in this tragic event.
I rather suspect my last name probably wouldn't ring a bell with you but we all went to school initially when you were going to Saint Veronica's Grammar School in South San Francisco. Jack was my good friend. I even visited him in Novato a couple of times since your mom's house was just about a mile away from my grandparent's/aunt and uncle's house.
I am sure that over the years the fond memories of Jack will sustain you, your mom, and all who were close to him. I look forward to remembering him in my own way when I am in New York in September.
