David was a special little boy. Already at the age of three he would put others before himself. My favorite memory of him is when I taught him how to play "so big." I still remember your smile little Pooh.

I'm so sorry that you had to leave this world little one but at least we can have comfort in the knowledge that you're in Heaven now. Let your wings lift you higher and higher into God's grace.

25 years ago, we made a promise: never forget. Today, I carried your photo as my Global class completed a mile-long walk in silence. Each of us held a photo of a victim and later reflected on our experience. As I walked with your photo, I thought about what your life would have been like. I thought about how scared you would have been, and how powerless your loved ones would have felt. I’m sorry that your life was cut short. Rest in peace, David, and I promise I will never forget.
