Whatever we were to each other we are still - Anonymous
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather. It saddens us to think about all of the lost memories we never had the chance to experience because his life was taken away. We all miss him terribly. This event has changed our lives forever and our lives have never been the same since He was a builder, a fisherman, a mechanic, a cook, and most of all a Great Dad. We try not to think too much about things we cannot change but there was so much we wanted and should have told him while he was here and just never had the chance too. We want him to know how much he was loved, respected, and admired. He was such a strong person and someone we all strive to be like in our adult lives. I think about how different our lives would have been if he went to the shore and did not go to work that day. What would he look like, would he be healthy, what would he think of his children and what their lives have become.
There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of him or wish him with us in the physical spirit. We all love and miss him dearly
The truth is, life continues. We could only wish he was here with us to share in all that has happened. He would have become a grandfather 5 more times and recently a great grandfather. He missed the battles that our mom has conquered three times against Cancer. She is a much stronger person than any of us gave her recognition for. We dont even know if she was aware of her own strength.
Time has gone by so quickly since you have been gone. We all miss you dearly and wish you have been with us to share in all that has happened over the past 14 years.
The only thing that saddens us more than our father's death is that nothing was learned from the entire ordeal. I wish that a more serious look was taken so that it may have prevented 9/11 from ever occurring.
We will go on and never forget all of our loved ones who lost their lives in such a horrible way. However, we have learned that our world is a much different place since the events of 2/26/93 and 9/11/01 and the lost lives have all taught us that we should never underestimate the power of hate and that it destroys all in its way.
We were your typical family with a typical dad. He left one Friday morning to go to his job and never returned home. We never expected this to happen, especially to our family. It was a loss that has left a scar on all of us.
The one most valuable lesson we have all learned is that love never dies.
