Mary S. Jones was my cousin.
Mary S. Jones was my cousin. We found out about her death a year or so after 9-11. Over the years her parents lost contact with her for some unknown reason. Knowing she worked in one of the towers we assumed she had retired due to her age. However she was a victim and has not been forgotten by her remaining family members. When Port Authority personnel found personal items in her apartment with her hometown Rawlings VA they were able to locate her family. Now 57 I remember her visiting her family when I was around 5 years old. You will be remembered as long as I have breathe in my body. God bless you Mary and may you rest in peace.

The memories I have of Mary S. Jones
My late Mother, Clara Theresa Wright, was a friend and coworker of Mary S. Jones.
There were times when my job, during those days, would want me to work a.m. hours instead of p.m., and this often enabled me to drive my Mother home, from the World Trade Center. Ms. Jones, more than once, would ride with me and Mom in my yellow Cadillac, and we would always drop her off on Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard.
On Sept. 11, 2001, Mom went to vote, as that was an Election Day. And, I am convinced her decision to go and vote, then being denied entry into the burning Towers saved her life that day.
I lost Mom in 2005.
I think that she, and Ms. Jones are likely friends again in God's Great Kingdom.
