Lynn Goodchild died on September 11, 2001. She was aboard United Airlines Flight 175 which crashed into the World Trade Center South Tower. At twenty-five years old, Lynn was a fun loving, friendly, easygoing young woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. Although she traveled extensively, Lynn always made time for her friends and family at home and at work. Her thoughtful and gentle ways endeared her to many. Lynn was traveling with her boyfriend, Shawn Nassaney. Lynn Catherine Goodchild, of Attleboro, an administrator for Putnam Investments in Norwood, was a lifelong resident of Attleboro, graduating from Attleboro High School in 1994. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bryant College in Smithfield, R.I., in 1998 and had been working toward her master’s degree at Providence College. At Bryant, she was the president of the college karate club. She had worked for Putnam Investments for the past three years. Miss Goodchild enjoyed traveling and was on vacation with a companion, Shawn Nassaney of Pawtucket, who was also killed on the flight.

It's has been 8 Years since you left us, doesn't seem that long feels like it was yesterday. You are in my thoughts everyday. I know you are in a special place and your grandparents, Kay & Pop are looking out for you.

Dear Miss Goodchild,
If I may call you, Lynn ... We never ever met, but I came across your story and I feel absolutely heartbroken. I will always feel heartbroken when I recall that dreadful day. I pray that you have found peace and I pray for your family's strength and courage.

I remembered that there was a Goodchild on one of the planes that crashed on September 11th. I have often thought of trying to contact someone within her family to express my condolences and grief, but thought it might not be received well, as I am a complete stranger (even though we share the same last name).
I found this website , and would now like to reach out and express my sadness and grief for Catherine Lynn Goodchild ( I hope it is not too late). I am sure it was an extremely sad day for your family, as it was for the Goodchild name, and for all Americans. Though I never knew her , I know that she is in a better place. Free of the evil that lurks within our world still today.
