Biography:
Rudy was self-employed independent broker at the American Stock Exchange for 1999-2001. He worked for Merrill Lynch for 22 years. He purchased & owned a seat as a member on the Amex floor. Best Trader of options that Merrill Lynch has ever had.

Rudy you were a class act
Rudy you were a class act always. I enjoyed being your friend and working with you on the floor of the AMEX. I'll always remember our conversations fondly and hopefully you are kicking back in heaven having that Southern Comfort. You will always be remembered.

I am a senior at Paola High School. I am working on a project on a person that lost their life in 9/11. I'd like to send my condolences to the family, and remind them that their loss will never be forgotten.

Without Rudy, I Wouldn't Be On Wall St. 32 Years & Counting...
My first 5 months on the floor of the American Stock Exchange had me in a booth right next to Rudy and the Merrill Lynch crew. I was geeky, Puerto Rican Steve Urkel, and Rudy instantly befriended me and made me feel welcome to the Amex family. He also made sure I wasn't overwhelmed or intimidated by all of the Wall St. egos and attitudes, and let me know that half of our clients couldn't hold a candle to my mathematical, financial, or academic prowess, and they were just playing "follow the leader" in a world where it was easy to cheat and get paid royally, and somehow walking away feeling smart because you made a lot of money, regardless of whether or not you knew how you made it or could replicate it on your own.
Rudy made me feel smart, validated, and invincible, and he witnessed my weakest and worst moment, and made sure I didn't let it define me or hold me back from attacking the trading world and not shrinking into a back office.
Rudy was The Man, and when I went to the Memorial for the first time, last year, I cried like a baby and nearly lost both contact lenses when I saw his face pop up in the glass podium. Such an amazing human being. I remember him in his hat and coat, with a smile you couldn't smack off if you tried, with a happy "How We Doin'?" every morning.
I never doubted myself again because of Rudy. I never felt like I didn't belong again because of Rudy. I have never looked back because of Rudy.
You are The Man, my friend, and I believe God has built an All-Star team upstairs because of you.
Rest in Peace, my man!
