To commemorate the events of 9-11, to memorialize its victims of which there were many clustered from this community as well as our surrounding communities. To connect our local tradegy to the nation's tradegy and respectfully remember the lives lost. Reason site was selected. The site was recently acquired and was a beautiful old farm adjacent to local residential developments and a wetland area. It will be visable from the street and part of a larger place where we hope many people will visit and feel comfortable. Events planned for site. There have been so many wonderful events held to date. Fundraising for the memorial has been truly a community effort with walk-a-thons and collaborations with the local businees community.
