I never knew him and I don't…
I never knew him and I don't even live in the US, but I just stumbled upon this page and his face seems so kind, I feel like he was a really great guy... Rest easy Andy!

Vicarious Rembrance
Apologies for gracing your remembrance page without having known or met you, Andy. However, we do have at least three things in common. I was 6 years old when One WTC fell, and I remember my dad brought me to the riverside in Jersey City where we'd been living and told me to watch something I'd never forget, for the worse. It was a steep hill of growing up, but experiencing that really brought into my foreview what it meant to be alive. I know now that you were in that tower, and that bothers me a lot because with what little information I can find about you, there is no doubt that you were a really good person. The second thing we share in common is our beloved Wildwood Crest. You have a wonderful legacy in Wildwood, and I wish you were around to see just how much people on our five mile island really loved you. I was never on the beach patrol like you were, but my morning walks on the crest beach remind me that we shared the same sand, stared out at the same horizon, and felt the same golden light at dusk when you would be most likely found pulling your lifeguard chair. I know there are lifeboats named after you, and you have a dedication in the Crest on Sunset Lake. Wildwood never forgets you. The third and perhaps most important thing we have in common is our mutual friend, William "Billy", or as I've always called, "Bill" Feraco and his family including Johnny, Justin, Bella, and their mother, his wife, Bonnie. I've known and worked with Bill for his liquor store since 2017 on and off. That's 11 years. 11 years of Bill. Breaking balls, laughter, and friendship that so often overshadowed paid work. Bill was always a friend to me first and a boss second. Bill is still my friend, and I love him dearly. I've known Bill for a long time now, and I see him as often as I can. I want you to know how much he cared about you. He has a big heart. I think everyone knows that. In the time I've known Bill, he's only ever had one background picture on his phone. You know, that phone he can't let go of. The one that sits on his belly as he reclines in his office chair when he jumps from one phone call to the next -- usually business, always with a smile. That background is of your name engraved on the WTC memorial in New York City. "Andrew Alameno" seared into the steel perimeter of what is now a cavern, a mass grave to you and all other 657 CF employees in addition to the remaining victims on that fateful, infamous day of unjust and unsolicited violence. Just as your name is immortalized on that steel slab, my memory of Bill and his association to you is immortalized by his background photo, and in some strange way, I remember you vicariously through my enduring friendship with Bill. I've heard that writing to deceased loved ones helps in the grieving process, and while I should reiterate that I did not know you personally, I know the streets you walked, the sand you trudged, the sea you swam, and the friends you kept... and that makes all the difference.
Rest easy, Andy.
