I live faraway on the other side of the world in Singapore. I was just reading an account in the September 2011 issue of Esquire magazine - about Katherine s last morning on that 9/11. I would like to express my sadness and condolences to Charlie and all her loved ones.I know she was a beautiful person.

You are now heaven sent. Needed to see if a wolf had been involved where I know you'll be in good company.

I knew Katherine and her family, many years ago back in Swansea. Her dad was my primary headteacher, her younger brother a school friend and she, herself, was a wonderful influence on my musical development as a teenager - she accompanied some of my clarinet exams, giving me confidence and showing me kindness.

I took my sons, also musicians, to visit Katherine's memorial on a family trip to NYC several years ago and was very moved by the serenity of it.
