This flag is a memorial to those who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11, 2001.
The 9-11 Memorial Walk is a block-long greenway in downtown Birmingham (300 block of 19th Street North) linking three public art projects as a memorial to the events of September 11th.
"It features a section of a girder from the World Trade Center donated to Bath by the New York City Fire Department, according to a press release from the college."
Battlefield Cross Memorial Dedicated to Ronald Hemenway, a member of the Navy killed in the attacks on the Pentagon.
The memorial is anchored by a statue of a firefighter in action and dedicated to all of the fallen Alaskan Firefighters.
The monument is a circular plan with a flat inclined metal ring.
The monument features a 417-pound steel I-beam 5 feet long, 2 feet high and 9 inches wide that was pulled from the rubble of the Trade Center.
The memorial features an 8-foot steel girder beam that once held up the North Tower of the World Trade Center .The beam is angled so that even small children can reach up and touch this real piece
