Our Voices Together
A Peer Support Gathering Before the 25th Anniversary of 9/11
Thursday, August 12th - 7:00pm EST
As we approach the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, join us for a special Our Voices Together webinar to reflect on the significance of this milestone and discuss ways to prepare emotionally for the days of remembrance ahead. This supportive conversation will provide an opportunity to connect with others, share experiences, and learn about resources available to help individuals and families navigate this meaningful anniversary.
Our friends from the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), including Suzanne Phillips, PsyD, Craig Haen, PhD, and their colleagues, will help facilitate the discussion and breakout sessions, creating a supportive environment for participants to connect and share.
A second Our Voices Together webinar will be held after the anniversary. The date and registration details will be announced soon.
About the Presenter
Craig Haen, Ph.D., RDT, CGP, LCAT, AGPA-F
Psychotherapist, Trainer and Consultant, Private Psychotherapy Practice
Craig Haen, Ph.D., RDT, CGP, LCAT, AGPA-F has a private practice working with children, adolescents, adults and families in White Plains, NY. Dr. Haen is cofounder and Training Director of the Kint Institute, which offers post-Masters clinical training in the arts and trauma treatment in New York City.
He is a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, where he served as a founding member of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force and has been co-chair of the Community Outreach Task Force. In these roles, he has coordinated responses to mass trauma events internationally for the past decade and co-authored the organization’s public statements on human rights issues. He received the AGPA Social Responsibility Award in 2021 in recognition of this work. Dr. Haen is an independent scholar whose most recent book was Creative Arts-Based Group Therapy with Adolescents, with the late Nancy Boyd Webb.
Suzanne Phillips
Professor, Long Island University; Faculty, Suffolk Institute
Dr. Suzanne Phillips is an Adjunct Full Professor of Clinical Psychology, Long Island University Faculty, Suffolk Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Fellow, and Board Member and Co-Chair, Community Outreach, AGPA.
Dr. Phillips a retired Adjunct Full Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Psychology Doctoral Program at LIU Post, NY, and Group Faculty and Supervisor at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. She is in private practice in Northport, NY, co-author of three books, over 40 articles and chapters, and hosts Psych Up Live on International Talk Radio.
