Support Services

Support Services
VOICES provides long-term support and continuity of care for thousands of individuals, including victims’ families, responders and survivors, impacted by 9/11 and other tragedies.

Our services include consultations and referrals, virtual and in-person support groups, focus groups, bereavement resources and educational webinars and workshops. Through ongoing needs assessments of those we serve, our programs address grief, loss and trauma and promote healing and resilience.

Support Groups and Community Discussion Groups offer an opportunity for those impacted by tragedy to connect with each other. Healing is promoted through the support of peers who have a shared experience. Groups are facilitated by professionals in a confidential setting.

Parents Helping Parents provides peer support for those who have suffered the loss of a child. It was founded in 2022 by a group of New Canaan parents who experienced the loss of a child. Although their children died at different ages under varying circumstances, they share a common bond and understand the unique challenges parents face after loss.

Our staff provides individual consultation as a vital first step to assess one’s needs to connect you with available programs and services, or make referrals for other resources.
