Preparedness begins at home and is of vital importance in all aspects of our lives – family, community and work. Throughout the year we will promote awareness and highlight relevant resources to help you and your family be better prepared.
In the aftermath of 9/11, September was designated as National Preparedness Awareness Month, in part due to VOICES advocacy efforts while campaigning for the creation of the 9/11 Commission. While the anniversary is a reminder, preparedness should be an ongoing effort for us all.
