Writing Workshop for 9/11 Responders and Survivors | 2021

VOICES is pleased to present A Beginners’ Non-Fiction Writing Workshop for 9/11 First Responders and Survivors. The program was a series of five weekly workshops that will include a short reading and discussion, time for writing, and an opportunity for participants to share writing and receive supportive feedback in a non-judgmental, confidential setting. Sessions will be hosted virtually via Zoom.

The workshops was facilitated by Angelique Tung, survivor of the 9/11 attacks. The workshops created a safe space for first responders and survivors to write stories about their personal experience on 9/11, and the years beyond.

This workshop series is free and open to 9/11 responders and survivors. Space is limited to ten registrants to foster a community of trust.

Registration is required. Participants must commit to attend all five sessions.

Each workshop will be held from 7:00pm - 8:30pm on the following dates:

Week 1: Tuesday, June 15th
Week 2: Tuesday, June 22nd
Week 3: Tuesday, June 29th
Week 4: Tuesday, July 6th
Week 5: Tuesday, July 13th

Important note: This is not group therapy.

*Please note that your registration does not guarantee participation in the workshops. You will receive a phone call from our staff to confirm the status of your enrollment.
