Meet Author and Activist: John Feal

Join us on Wednesday, June 17 at 3:00pm EST as we welcome author, activist, and longtime friend of VOICES, John Feal, for our VOICES Meet the Author webinar.

In his soon-to-be released book, I Will Follow You Anywhere, John shares his extraordinary journey from Ground Zero responder to one of the nation's most effective advocates. On September 11th he rushed to the World Trade Center site to work in the rescue and recovery effort. While responding John suffered a devastating injury that led to the partial amputation of his foot. As he struggled with his own recovery and witnessed fellow responders battling serious illnesses due to toxic exposure, John was motivated to fight for the healthcare and compensation they all deserved.

John will share his experience leading a successful campaign to pass the Victim Compensation Fund and healthcare bill. He will offer a candid look at grassroots advocacy, perseverance, the power of ordinary people to create extraordinary change, and highlight his partnership with Jon Stewart.
