Surviving Loss in Tragedies like the LA Wildfires

Presented by Dr. Ken Druck

Wednesday, February 5th - 7:00pm EST

During this webinar presented by Dr. Ken Druck, participants will learn to give themselves the permission, support, compassionate self-care and patience necessary to process their losses, honor their loved ones, cultivate a resilient spirit, and summon the courage to go on living. We will discuss life losses where a loved one has died, and living losses where there have been heartbreaking, life-altering, traumatic losses of treasured homes, property, and memories.

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn the following:

  • The differences between superficial, transient resilience/recovery and the kind of reconciliation/healing that is deep and lasting.
  • The role that self-compassion, kindness, patience and self-care play in coming to terms with a significant loss.
  • The differences between a living and life loss and in healing from one or the other.
  • Concrete steps for summoning the strength, faith, courage, self-care/compassion and support to go on after a loss.
