Visit the VOICES booth at the health fair in Perth Amboy

Do you have questions about eligibility for the World Trade Center Health Program?  Visit with us in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on Sunday, June 22nd  at the Dominican American Communitarian Association Health Fair.

At the fair, we will meet with responders, survivors and their friends to provide information about the application process for The World Trade Center Health Program. The federally funded program was established by the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010. It provides health care for responders, workers, and volunteers who helped with rescue, recover and cleanup at the World Trade Center and related sites in New York City. It also provides health care for survivors who were in the New York City disaster area, lived worked, or were in school in the area.

Carrie Miller, the Program Director in our New Jersey office, and intern Lauren Picciallo will be representing VOICES during The Dominican American Communitarian Association Health Fair from 8:00 Am until 3:00 Pm at the Dr. Herbert N. Richardson School which is located at 318 Stockton Street, Perth Amboy, NJ.

At the event, Carrie and Lauren will be speaking to 9/11 responders and survivors about their potential eligibility for the World Trade Center Health Program and will distribute applications.  But, that is not all that this fair has to offer! Be sure to stop by this free fair for all Perth Amboy and surrounding areas residents. It will be a fun day of health-related activities -  including blood pressure and blood sugar screenings.

Don’t forget your sunscreen, it’s supposed to be a beautiful day.  We hope to see you there.
