Support
Providing Long-Term Support for Those Impacted by Tragedy
VOICES is dedicated to providing continuity of care by offering a variety of services including individual consultation, referrals, clinical and peer support groups, monthly virtual workshops and Meet the Author series. Our long-standing relationships with trusted individuals and organizations help us address the ongoing needs of those we serve by promoting healing and resilience.
Education
Working with Public-Private Partners To Share Lessons Learned
Voices Annual Remembrance Symposium was held in collaboration with LinCT-AA, INVICTM, and 9/11 service providers. The two-day event brought together distinguished experts in national security, law enforcement, emergency response, mental health care, and litigation. Over 1,300 individuals from 28 states and 16 countries participated.
ASIS International, a global security network recognized VOICES Executive Director, Mary Fetchet as their 2023 Person of the Year. VOICES is proud to share our expertise in mental health, victim services, public policy and preparedness with hundreds of local, national, and international organizations.
Training
Helping Families and Communities Prepare for Emergencies
A 22-year Journey from 9/11 to Today. This year we partnered with STAR, Inc. to host a series of preparedness programs to educate the general public. VOICES presented an overview of lessons learned. Local and state emergency management representatives participated in a panel discussion.
VOICES Community Preparedness Training: A Victim-Centered Approach to Prepare for, Respond to, and Recover from Tragedy. In 2024 VOICES is launching a two-day training for emergency managers, law enforcement and service providers. The 17-module program is based on 22 years of firsthand experience and research findings working with victims’ families, responders and survivors.
