Hundreds of 9/11 survivors, friends and families of victims, and corporate representatives will come together for the third annual Always Remember Benefit on June 14, 2010, hosted by Voices of September 11th (VOICES), a prominent 9/11 organization providing services for those impacted. Former Prime Minister Tony Blair is the keynote speaker and President Bill Clinton the Honorary Chairman. The evening includes a cocktail reception, silent auction and dinner. In addition to Mr. Blair’s remarks there will be a performance by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary.

“Over 90 countries lost citizens on 9/11. We are honored that Former Prime Minister Tony Blair is participating in this year’s event. His presence symbolizes the beginning of our international outreach and reinforces the importance of our collective efforts to build bridges globally, person to person,” said Mary Fetchet, Voices of September 11th Founding Director.

Proceeds will support VOICES’ ongoing efforts to work with families and survivors to create the 9/11 Living Memorial Project, a digital archive that chronicles the nearly 3,000 lives lost and documents the inspirational stories of rescue workers and survivors through an extensive collection of photographs, written materials and personal keepsakes.

VOICES will recognize Ms. Alex Clarke, who formed the September 11th United Kingdom Families Support Group following the loss of Suria, her 30 yr old daughter. In addition, VOICES will acknowledge the important contributions made by Paul Tvetenstrand, formerly of Thacher, Proffitt & Wood and John Duffy, Chairman and CEO of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods and father of Christopher Duffy, also lost on 9/11.
