Creating Emotional, Psychological and
Relationship Resilience in the Time of COVID-19

Thursday, June 18th at 7:30pm EST

Presented by:
Mel Schwartz, MSW, MPhil, LCSW
Psychotherapist & Marriage Counselor

What could be more essential – particularly in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic – than learning to cultivate your emotional, psychological and relationship resilience? Resilience is the bedrock of our ability to navigate not only these daunting times, but our lives as well. The path to resilience is found in our relationship with our thoughts. The only thing in life that we can, and should, try to control is our thoughts. In this talk, Mel Schwartz will be shared his techniques for transcending fear and anxiety through a mastery of thinking.

Our program is part of VOICES COVID-19 Response Program and was moderated by VOICES Executive Director, Mary Fetchet, LCSW. This interactive Zoom conference helped participants cultivate a stimulating and healthy way of thinking; benefiting their relationships with others and with themselves. Mel also shared another of his primary principles: How embracing uncertainty opens the doorway to new possibilities.
