5-Week Writing Workshop For 9/11 Survivors | 2021

VOICES introduces a 5-week beginners creative non-fiction writing workshop for 9/11 survivors. Facilitated by Angelique Tung, survivor of the 9/11 attacks, this workshop will create a safe space for survivors to write their stories of survivorship both on the day of the attacks and beyond. NO writing experience needed. This workshop is free of charge. Space is limited and registration is required.

Each workshop will be held from 7:00 – 9:00pm on the following dates:
Week 1: Thursday, January 14th
Week 2: Thursday, January 21st
Week 3: Thursday, January 28th
Week 4: Thursday, February 4th
Week 5: Thursday, February 11th

Each of the 5 sessions will include a short reading and discussion, time for writing, and an opportunity for participants to share their writing and receive supportive feedback in a non-judgmental, confidential setting. Sessions will be hosted virtually via Zoom.

Participants will have the opportunity to add their stories to the VOICES 9/11 Living Memorial.

Important note: This is not group therapy.

This writing workshop is free and open to all survivors of the 9/11 attacks. Registration is required and participants must commit to attending all four sessions. Space is limited.

*Please note that your registration does not guarantee participation in this support group. Participation is limited to ten registrants.

After completing registration, you will receive a phone call to discuss workshop details to ensure fit. We thank you for your understanding!
