The Commissioners also reflect on our nation’s progress in implementing their recommendations over the last 20 years.
About the Documentary
Are We Safer Today? honors the 20th Anniversary of the formation of the 9/11 Commission, to be released this fall. In the documentary, members of the 9/11 Commission reunite to reflect on the largest investigation in U.S. history and to assess our nation’s progress over the last 20 years. Are We Safer Today? chronicles the memories and observations of four dozen of the leading officials who were part of the 9/11 Commission saga. The final recordings will be housed at the Library of Congress for future generations.
Additionally, the project will produce a civics curriculum and learning app in association with the Center for Representative Government at Indiana University (funded by the Library of Congress). An exclusive nine-episode podcast detailing insights from the staff who crafted the 9/11 Commission Report will also become available.
