Reflections on the Eve of the 19th Anniversary

From 9/11 to Today, Helping Families and Communities Heal After Tragedy

Dear Families and Friends,

Tomorrow we commemorate the 19th Anniversary and honor the 2,977 precious lives lost on September 11, 2001.

The anniversary is also a time to pay tribute to all those who have been affected since - the 3,000 responders and survivors who have died of 9/11-related illnesses, and their grieving families. We also recognize the over 95,000 responders and 400,000 survivors who lived, worked or went to school in the area. Many are suffering from serious medical and mental health conditions.

On this day of reflection, we give thanks for the strength and resilience of the 9/11 community, and hold dear the friendships of those who have supported us on our journey.

May the flame of hope shine bright, because with hope, peace, faith and love, we can transform our lives!

With gratitude for your friendship and support,

Mary Fetchet & the VOICES Staff
