Toxic Dust Was Everywhere After 9/11. Little Was Done for Months.

In the days after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, New York City and federal agencies focused on the most immediate toxic hazard: the air, still hazy with dust and smoke. A week later, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency reassured New Yorkers that the air was safe to breathe, though there wasn’t sufficient data to justify the claim. More.

9/11 families say they’re closer to proving Saudi government’s role in attacks

Weeks after the 25-year milestone of the 9/11 attacks, families of victims and survivors were in federal court in their latest effort to have Saudi Arabia take responsibility for the terrorist action. The families said that they were pleased with how the Wednesday morning hearing went, and that they’re convinced it will ultimately lead to a legal victory. More.
