George Martin Returns To The Giants

George Martin returned to Giant Stadium for the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 6th.  This time he wasn’t suiting up for the Giants; he was expressing his support for the 9/11 Responders.

In 2008, Martin walked more than 3,200 miles across the United States to benefit “thousands of the true heroes of 9/11,” seriously ill rescue and recovery workers.  The goal of the “Journey for 9/11” was to raise money to provide healthcare for 9/11 responders and to increase awareness about the illnesses they suffered from working at the site. To recognize his dedication, VOICES gave him the Building Bridges award.

But the years have not diminished Martin’s belief that these responders deserve our thanks and our support.  In a recent visit to Giant stadium, he met responders and VOICES staff members invited to watch the game from a skybox.  It was an afternoon that all of those who attended will always remember.
