VOICES June Newsletter

Voices Newsletter

Dear Families and Friends,

May 30th marked the 22nd Anniversary of the end of the 9-month rescue and recovery effort at Ground Zero. On this milestone, we remember the thousands of 9/11 responders and survivors whose lives were forever changed by the tragedy.

In recognition of June as National PTSD Awareness Month, our upcoming webinars highlight strategies and treatment to promote mental health wellness. Dr. Suzanne Phillips and Dr. Craig Haen will join us on June 5th to discuss Coping Strategies for Adults and Children. On June 17th Bonnie Rumilly, LCSW and Dr. Stacy Raymond will present Healing After Trauma: A Guide for Treating PTSD. Additional information about PTSD and mental health resources is available on VOICES website.

Our Annual Golf Outing at the world-class Quaker Ridge Golf Club is less than two weeks away. We are planning on another wonderful and challenging experience for our avid golfers on June 10th!

Plans are well underway for VOICES 2024 NYC Symposium to be held on September 9 and 10 at the New York Marriott Downtown Hotel. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and registration is now open!

As summer approaches, our graduate students Jamie Brown and Maura Leaden concluded their internship program. Jamie and Maura were outstanding additions to our team, and we appreciate their dedication and commitment to the individuals we serve. This month we are welcoming our incoming high school and college interns.

As always, contact our office if we can be of assistance.

With warm regards,
Mary Fetchet & the VOICES Team
