    September 11, 2001. On that dark day, the citizens of Gander, Newfoundland welcomed 38 airliners and thousands of passengers who had no place else to go. Gander shone as the beacon of hope in the wake of tragedy, welcoming strangers who left as life-long friends. We are excited to announce that tickets are now available for YOU ARE HERE!   • 18th Anniversary "Walk with Joe" Annual 5k

    Please join us for the 18th anniversary of "WALK WITH JOE", a memorial 5K walk honoring Patrick "Joe" Driscoll, Christopher Gray and Tom McCann, local area residents who lost their lives on September 11th. The Walk will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019, 10:00 a.m., at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Manalapan, NJ.   • Permanent Authorization of 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund
    The US Senate voted 97-2 in favor of the Never Forget the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer, and Luis Alvarez Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act, joining the House of Representatives in supporting legislation that will provide compensation for responders and survivorswho are suffering and dying from life-threatening illnesses due to their exposure to toxins in the aftermath of the attacks.
  • Teleconference Support Groups
    At VOICES 17th Annual Day of Remembrance Information Forum, we were thrilled to have clinicians from the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA) facilitate peer-to-peer group discussions. As a follow-up, the clinicians graciously hosted teleconference support groups in November, in partnership with VOICES staff. We hope to offer similar groups in the future to support the ongoing needs of our community.
  • Promoting Resiliency in Communities Impacted by Trauma
    On Friday, January 17th Voices of September 11th is hosting a Community Resilience Symposium in conjunction with Rutgers University to educate professionals about the needs of victims' families and survivors. The event will be held at Rutgers University, Trayes Hall - Douglass Campus Center, 100 George St, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Learn More.
