Tip Sheets

In the aftermath of a tragedy where there is loss of life, injury, or severe stress, those impacted are often in shock, suffer from anxiety or fear, and may be uncertain about how to access critical information, mental health resources, and support.

VOICES Tip Sheets provide specific, timely guidance for individuals and families and a pathway to achieve healing and resilience. We have developed two sets – one addressing mass violence and the second in response to the coronavirus.

The spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is the most serious global health threat we have faced in our lifetime. Many communities around the world have imposed much-needed restrictions by implementing quarantines and social distancing to slow down the spread of the virus.

In the aftermath of an act of mass violence or tragedy, those impacted are often in shock and uncertain about how to access critical information. Whether you are a family member who lost a loved one, or someone who survived or witnessed the event, you will need guidance on how to find resources.
